Every day is a day to wash clothes in the Philippines. Maybe exept on days when it is raining cats and dogs (to use this English expression). Those clothes also have to dry before they can be ironed. If someone doesn’t have enough space in or behind the house: just dry them in the street

Yes clotheslines can be a real hazard in some places. Especially since most are hung to be convenient for the filipinas that use them. They usually hit me between the chest and neck. This can be bad at night when there is no laundry on them.
I have also seen stuff draped over bushes and hung from railings and gates. Where ever they can find a place.

Yes they just put clothes to dry along the street everywhere. Even along busy streets with a lot of exhaust gasses from cars and busses. Those clothes must smell terrible after drying.
