Lived in the Philippines for 4 years in the 80's with my wife and loved it. Well the kids are grown and I will be retiring in about three years and we will be heading home to the Philippines for good. So as of now we are getting the ball rolling and preparing for that day. Three years goes fast when you think about it. Thats why I like finding sites that give me a real overview of Filipino life. Jan so far yours is pretty well on point. This market article with pictures made me a bit homesick brought up alot of memories. I like sites that are clean and give good quality reads not the one that always talk about girls, bars and sex. (I was in the Navy over there in the 80's so I'm not blind to those facts.) Thanks!! Keep the pictures coming!! By the way found your site through David Starr's site he's a very intellegent guy.

I love the markets as well. The market in Iloilo is very interesting and a great way for a foreigner to kill an entire day! There is such a variety it will keep you entertained just looking around.
