Some time ago I was standing on a street corner in Marikina City and take pictures of passing jeepneys for my blog about this typical public transport.Check that post here. On a certain moment I was turning around and saw a little girl holding and watching (her fathers) bicycle. Without her noticing me, I took her picture and continued photographing the street life. After about 10 minutes she was still holding the bicycle but now watching inside the store were her father was if she was thinking: "why does it take so long?". In de past months I made several hundreds of pictures, but so far these two are my favorites. Why? Because it is a cute little girl, so innocent and not aware of the future yet. Thanks for visiting my website.
I like to live in the Philippines for a number of reasons. One of them was that I didn't like to live in the Netherlands anymore.
I was sick and tired of paying all the taxes, all the regulations and a government........ They haven't quit for nothing.

February 24, 2010, Jan writes: Hi Dave,
Good that you are up and running again.
I have more pictures of adorable children but this one was the best.
Thanks for stopping by and your comment.

February 25, 2010, Gijs writes: I can't dispute your comment....Guess it's a weighing decision for every individual. I like pioneering also but I also like the speed of doing things in The Netherlands.

February 25, 2010, Jan writes: It is a decision a man has to make for himself.

April 6, 2010, Tom writes: Cute little girl. I have a bunch of pictures I need to go through as well. I'll be glad when I am there full time so I can take more. Every time I get home I get ideas for posts and no pictures to match. Fortunately I have someone there who can take some for me.

Keep posting. 8-)

May 3, 2010, Klaus Doring writes: Great pictures, Jan !

Related posts:

where is papa now
Some time ago I was standing on a street corner in Marikina City and take pictures of passing jeepneys for my blog about this typical public transport.Check that post here.
