It’s Christmas time. In colder countries this means snow and cold weather.
Not in the Philippines. It’s warm as always with temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius every day and lots of sun.
Yet I spotted a snow man in the street in Marikina. “How is that possible?”, would you ask.
Well it’s simple. It is just part of the Christmas decoration used in the Philippines.
Near to the snow man they have created a large Christmas tree made of presents, about 5 meters high. I took these pictures during daytime and in the evening so you can see the difference.

Hi Jan! I would also like to wish you and Flor a Merry Christmas and a Joyous New Year! I see you’ve been visiting the city where we live… err used to live.
Hi Jay,
We have been reading that you were living in Provident village. You wrote that your house had a lot of damage.
We are living near Masinag and we visit Marikina regularly to go to the market.
Thanks for your wishes and express ours to your family too.
