Hi Dave,
You better prepare for the months March and April, they can be very hot. Above 35 Celsius during the day and 25 or more during the night.
Aircon would be fine, but just a good electric fan is much cheaper in electricity consumption.
But it seems that your place, on de edge of the jungle in Guimares is a cool place? With some cool breeze? or am I wrong?

Hi Jan, yes, I can tell the difference in the weather since arriving here only this past July. This month has been the most pleasant that I have enjoyed. Pleasant temps and nice breezes. I can sleep much better in the evening. The monsoon rains have stopped, and we have just the occasional shower. Guess I better get that aircon in our bedroom before the heat starts up again. Merry Christmas to Flor and to you, Jan. Have a great holiday!
