The Filipino newspapers are not too bad. I used to read the Daily Inquirer and particularly liked the columns of Conrado de Quiros there.
In Cebu the paper is in most places a few pesos dearer than is the case in Manila. But compared to newspaper prices here in Australia prices in the Philippines still give you a bargain.
