I don’t agree with everything in this article, but you do make some very good points. Im very interested in this subject and I myself do alot of research as well. Hi,
Nice of you to stop by on my site.
I didn’t completely understand the comment you wrote, so I asked my wife to translate it for me.
I already thought of this, when I wrote the story and took the picture. It realy is a sad thing, that women have to do this for money or food.
The “joke” is not realy a joke, buth the naked truth !!

ganito yan… marami kasi sa lansangan babae.. mga namamalimos.. minsan hindi sila nabibigyan ang ginagawa nila ganito..

babae: boss… palimos po…
lalake: hmmmm…. ano ba gusto mo..
(ang lalaking yan ay nanamantala na)
babae: kahit ano po.. nagugutom na po kasi ako eh…
lalake: o cge.. bibilhan kita ng pagkain, pero sa isang kondisyon.. sasama ka sakin…
(ayun… hindi na natin alam san na napunta ang usapan.. malamang dun na sa sinsabing,, “PAGKAIN hindi SEX”…)
maraming mga nanamantala kahit saang lugar… masayado ko nababagabag sa mga batang babae man o lalake.. ganyan na ang mga kaso nila sa tuwing namamalimos.. may kaso rin na “SEX palit BIGAS”..
at kung ano ano pang paraan…

hay.. sana masolusyunan ito…

…’hmmmm.. sa palagay ko, mga namamalimos ng pagkain yan, kaso bago sila bigyan ng pagkain o kung pera man pambili ng pagkain, merong kundisyon… at yun ay ang “SEX” na sinasabi dun sa post… maraming mga maiinit ang laman at binubuhos nila sa mga babaeng halos mamalimos ng awa pero sinasamantala nila ito… kumabaga ganito kalimitang kondisyon jan..
babae: boss, palimos po pang-kain lang…
lalake: hmmmm… gusto mo ng pagkain?.. anong kapalit..
babae: kahit ano po.. cge na po…
lalake: o cge… pero sasama ka sakin..
…syempre kapag ganito na ang usapan.. di natin alam kung san na napunta.. malamang un na nga… sinasabi sa post… ” PAGKAIN hindi K… ”

naintindihan nyo po ba.. heheheh.. sana..
nababagabag din talaga ko sa mga batang babae na nasa lansangan.. alam ko yan ang lagi nilang daing.. marami ng kasong ganyan… “SEX palit BIGAS”.. un lang po muna.. hehehe salamat po..

it is a simple sign that anyone can barely recognize the moment they pass by the busy street in cubao. “food not sex” can have a lot of meaning according to the different views of people.
on my opinion this text shows the picture of the surrounding.
cubao is known to be a center where you can find lots of places to relax and eat and so as the place that uncle have mentioned the motels.
“food not sex” also have another meaning for me because i have a friend who lives in the place and he would always tell us stories on how is life in that place.
in the footbridge in auroroa boulevard where there are lots of people passing by and lots of street vendors station during the day. that very same place has another picture if the sun is already down.
there are still people passing by but the vendors are gone and instead you will notice girls and gays are standing on every part of the footbridge. as if they are chatting with each other but you will wonder why they are there?
this people are waiting for customers who would give them a short time deal in exchange for money or food.
but the worst thing is knowing that they are selling themselves just for 50 pesos or less or sometimes just a single meal.
its a pity that this kind of scenarios does really exist in our society. and you will notice people of very young age is involved.
that simple text is a big manifestation of our society. it may look like a trash on the street, just as how the government look at it. that that it is a simple sign that you will barely notice and give attention with.
