No doubt that Manny Pacquiao is the greatest boxer of the Philippines.
His full name is Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao. Born December 17, 1978. The Filipino boxing superstar is the first boxer ever to win seven world titles in seven different weight divisions. In addition, he is the only boxer to win the lineal championship (“the man who beat the man”) in four different weight classes.
Pacquiao has reportedly agreed to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. on March 13, 2010. In a few days he will celebrate his 31st birthday.
Recently Manny was in the news of having an affair with the 25 years old Filipina actress Krista Ranillo. Of course this was denied by both of them. About a year ago there were also rumors that Manny had an affair with Ara Mina. Also this was denied.
But that’s not the only reason for this post.
It was a few days ago when my wife and I went to the Market of Marikina to do our shoppings, when I met a nice man looking like Manny Pacquiao. I asked him if it was OK to take his picture and although shy, he didn’t object to it. Especially when I told him that he looked like Manny. That’s why he is smiling.
I also found a nice artistic piece of art on the internet: a 5 peso bill with Manny’s portait on it and a scene of one of his matches.
