begging girl statue

We visited the Manila Seedling bank a few days ago. The Manila Seedling bank is a kind of shopping center along EDSA in Quezon City, where one can buy plants, flowers, and many colorfull orchids.  I will write a story about it later. Aside from plants and flowers some stores also offer ornaments for the garden and for the house.

At one of the stores I saw a stuatue of a girl begging with a cap in her hands.

A view from a different angle might give an other impression to the visitors.

I do not know the artist who made it, and I haven’t asked the store owner why he put the statue next to the entrance . . . . . . .

That’s a beautiful statute, Jan. I know my wife would like that place you shopped at. She loves shopping for plants. We might be relocating near Q.C. in a few years to be nearer to some better hospitals than what we have in Guimaras, plus my wife has some sisters living near there.

      Hi Dave,
When you are in Manila, I’ll be happy to guide you and Melinda.
Wise decision to move to the BIG city. There are many very good hospitals here, but also expensive !
And when you are here, we can go ‘hunting’ together, we only have to find something we are going hunting for…..

I doubt if the sculptor is Filipino. But it does give a very different view from different angles.

      Hi Meng,
      Thanks for visiting my website.
The statue is for sale for 180.000 pesos (asking price). That’s a little too much for my budget.

Buy it and put it out front you might make a profit. 8-)

That is a very interesting place do they have vegetable seeds as well or just plants?

Yes that is a little high for a novelty. The statue looks well done so it is probably worth that.

Just write them a check. :)
