While walking in the surroundings of Pioduran, Albay, I have taken some shots from the beautiful scenery. Pioduran is situated on the westcoast of the province Albay. Pioduran is situated in a valley with lots of rice fields and coconut and banana plantations on the slopes of the surrounding hills. Check the picture show, click

Hello Jan!
My Filipina wife and I will be retiring soon in the Php. We are considering the areas around El Nido Palawan,
Sibuyan Island Romblon, or Samal Island in Mindanao. Any suggestions aside from these areas? We want to live a very simple traditional lifestyle with garden, simple Nipa Hut etc.
Hope you are doing well, and would like to establish relationships with expats living there.

Hi Terry,
Nice of you to have stopped by at my site, I appreciate it a lot.
Philippines is a nice country for retirement. The places you name are nice, so are the other more than 7000 islands.
I recommend all of them as a place to live.

Hi Jan,
I was searching for Miligan, Pioduran when I saw your blog. It’s actually true and somewhat funny when you describe how Pioduranon’s like to party especially the one where ‘Pay celebrated his birthday
I’m also from one of Pioduran’s villages – Miligan.
Thanks for the laughs and bringing back some good old memories.
Joey

Thanks for these kind words, but drinking sessions happen all over the philippines, and all more or less the same way.
